چکیده

Based on the thermoelastic mechanism of laser ultrasonic, the problems of the thermal conduction and the coupling between the motion of solid and fluid are solved by using the finite element method. And then the transient waveforms of leaky Lamb waves induced by pulse laser action on the air-aluminum interface are obtained. Experimental signals of laser-induced leaky Lamb waves at the air-aluminum interface are detected by applying an our-developed detector, based on the light deflection principle. The dispersion and attenuation properties of leaky Lamb waves are analyzed through the phase spectral analysis.

Detection of Leaky-rayleigh Wa Yes at Air-solid Interfaces by Laser Interferometry

Leaky-Rayleigh waves have been studied extensively at liquid-solid interface in the last 30 years [1-4]. Both leaky-Rayleigh and leaky-Lamb waves have found many application in Nondestructive Evaluation, e.g. surface defect characterization, etc [5,6]. Because of the difficulties associated with ultrasonic wave generation and detection in air in the megaHerz region air coupled non destructive e...

The effects of air gap reflections during air-coupled leaky Lamb wave inspection of thin plates.

Air-coupled ultrasonic inspection using leaky Lamb waves offers attractive possibilities for non-contact testing of plate materials and structures. A common method uses an air-coupled pitch-catch configuration, which comprises a transmitter and a receiver positioned at oblique angles to a thin plate. It is well known that the angle of incidence of the ultrasonic bulk wave in the air can be used...

Leaky Rayleigh and Scholte waves at the fluid–solid interface subjected to transient point loading

The analysis of acoustic waves generated by a transient normal point load applied on a fluid–solid interface is presented. The closed-form exact solution of the wave motion is obtained by using integral transform techniques. The obtained analytical solution provides necessary theoretical background for optimization of fluid-coupled ultrasonic and acoustic wave detection in experiments. Numerica...

Numerical Simulation of an Intense Isolated Attosecond Pulse by a Chirped Two-Color Laser Field

We investigate theoretically the high-order harmonic spectrum extension and numerical generation of an intense isolated attosecond pulse from He+ ion irradiated by a two-color laser field. Our simulation results show that the chirp of the fundamental field can control HHG cutoff position. Also, these results show that the envelope forms of two fields are important factors for controlling the re...

Simulation and Measurement of Ultrasonic Waves in Elastic Plates Using Laser Vibrometry

The propagation of Lamb waves in elastic plates is analyzed both numerically and experimentally. A Scanning Laser Doppler Vibrometer (SLDV) is here used to detect and visualize transient waveforms propagating in an elastic plate at low ultrasonic frequencies. The waves are excited by a piezoelectric crystal glued to the plate surface and actuated by sinusoidal pulses of varying frequency. The p...
